"Cleo eats it" is a reference to Ross Campbell's "Wet Moon".
Over the summer, I had a massive panic attack in the middle of the night where I was convinced that everyone saw me as a poor man's Ross Campbell, and secretly were biding their time until they would expose me to the world as trying to rip him off. Now, these 3am panic attacks are always based on nonsense, but man if that wasn't the worst. I think maybe the biggest similarity is that we both make a habit of drawing curvy women. What's funny is Ross likes Meaty Yogurt. I ended up telling him about this panic attack I had. Then I felt incredibly silly that I had gotten so worked up about it.
Anyways, um... I had a point. I guess... go read Wet Moon? It's a really good comic that isn't like Meaty Yogurt hardly.

I love Meaty Yogurt AND Wet Moon and I don’t think they’re anything alike! I would have never thought of making the comparison. They are awesomely unique in their own ways.

Mindless flattery aside, I think maybe you’re seeing your influences in your work more strongly than reflects reality and missing the uniqueness.

So to my delight I finally noticed Meaty Yogurt existed today. I have no idea how I never realized you had another comic going, but after a quick catch up I find the abyss left by Yu+Me has been filled again <3
