I think Jackie will probably tell Saffron a lie about how the audition is crappy or that she decided that she’s not up for it, rather than telling Saffron the truth. Because it’s more easily believable that Jackie is being a quitter “as always”. At least, if I were Jackie, I’d probably lie.
I don’t understand why Jackie or anyone should lie about this. When in this page Jackie missed Tom’s call I thought that she wasn’t going to help him, and that it was going to be a deep regret for her. Instead I was glad that she rescued Tom, because that was the right thing to do; she put someone else before her own interests, and that’s great.
From where I come from, explaining things this way would send the signal that you’re either being a show-off or are desperate to lie your way out of responsibility.
I can’t help but think a tiny part of Jackie is actually relieved, because by having to miss the opportunity entirely, she had no chance to fail at it.
Gosh, and she was going to try real hard this time. But the big question on my mind is: Will Saffron buy this?
My answer is the latter
I feel like Tom is type of man that always has, not necessarily bad, but more like a unique smell to him.
(I tried to make that as grammar correct as I could. I surrender. xP)

This page just… tore my heart right in two. :C Oh, Jackie. I know how you feel.
Torn between love and the desire for more out of life. I’m glad she went back for him though.
Oh, Jackie, please don’t be sad. It was your ex, and working with him was hardly a good idea to begin with.
You totally have a point there.
Little of column A little of column B
