So, this story is better suited to being posted in chapter form. A lot of the pages don't make sense/aren't very compelling on their own. When even your girlfriend's interest starts waning, you know you've gotta make some changes.
I think after this chapter is wrapped up, I might go back to my original plan of updating as I get whole chapters done, and posting the whole chapter in one update. But there's a poll up above for you to sound off on what you prefer.

I think more frequent updates will get more votes, but I think you probably know best what would make the most sense.
You should do whatever works best for you. I agree that the comic would probably most benefit from being posted in chapter form.
Personally, I voted for updates every Monday. If I don’t regularly check back as part of my daily webcomics schedule, it will probably fall off my radar. Or I will check back all the time, continually disappointed. My girlfriend and I find Meaty Yogurt compelling in the small updates too, so I think it comes down to personal preference. Perhaps people who want chapters whenever they are finished could sign up for a mailing list to let them know when a chapter’s done?
But I do agree with the two comments above, that you should do what works best for you.
It does get a bit confusing trying to remember the whole story when it updates so infrequently but your pages are huge and a lot to ingest at once so i find that I’ll just go back and re-read every couple months and find i understand the story better for it. Your stuff tends to take a few reads anyway, i think I’ve read yume a dozen times all in all… So far. But whichever way you decide on i doubt it would fall completely off my own little radar.
I get that more long-form comics are best digested in chapters, as I’ve discovered after archive binging certain comics I impulsively check everyday. It’s like pie, it’s not quite the “pie” experience when you only get it one crumb of one layer at a time. But would I still reach for the instant gratification of crumbs when I could wait for a slice?…yeah probably. So do what you think is best for your art.
To my understanding, the only drawback with chapter-posting is that an infrequent schedule can be hard to follow. Seems like that’s almost a cardinal rule of webcomics, having a schedule and sticking to it. of course, there is the more-work-for-Megan solution of sketches on non-update weeks. *grins a grin of sadistic glee for suggesting more work for a webcomic artist*
