The town below I will probably end up redrawing later. I was running out of time so I did it really quick and made it too small. The town is small, but not that small.
My home town has this problem. People don’t leave, they just stay. You’re lucky if you get out.
Wow, hah! I can’t count the number of times I’ve said that exact same line to myself.
Yeah, I know the feeling.
BT…still doing that. Part of me longs to move away, but I’ve come to accept this is my path.
My sister got married to a guy in another country and moved away when she was young…. Ironically, she’s now living a life that’s pretty much the same as she did in our home town…she even has created the same dysfunctional situation she was running away from. The people and landscape where she moved to even look the same (minus the English accents). This is not to say, it’s not good to get away. It really is, but a wise friend once pointed out to me that sometimes we think a change of scenery will make our lives better when in fact the only thing keeping us from being happy is ourselves.
